In 2001 Paul Benson established Claro Communications to provide network communications support to local Harrogate and Yorkshire businesses. Since then, the company has built on its success to gain a reputation for excellence in the field of business telecoms.
Company Director Paul Benson has over 15 years' experience designing and implementing business telecoms solutions. After leaving school Paul began his career as a trainee engineer in the Harrogate telecoms company Talking Point, and after a few short years he became a partner. The business expanded and was eventually acquired by the Rocom Group, forming the basis of their installations arm. Over the years Paul's technical skills have taken him to Moscow, Nice, Tashkent, and Samarkand installing and consulting for corporate clients such as Mars Foods, Coca Cola, British American Tobacco, Morgan Stanley, Pendragon Motor Group, Pets At Home, Norwest Holst Vinci, Yorkshire Water, Norfolk Courts, and Formula One Management to name a few. Paul is an avid Formula One fan and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughters.
Installation Team Leader, Lee Morris, began his working life as a CNC mechanical engineer, joining Talking Point as a career change in the 1990's. With 20 years' experience as a cabling team leader, Lee has managed cat5 and cat6 cabling installations ranging from single to 1000's of points, working on prestigious cabling projects including Leeds St James Hospital and Future Inns Hotels in Cardiff. Lee is highly skilled in fibre-optic cable termination. A keen angler, Lee spends his spare time and holidays fishing for carp.
A qualified master chef, Steve followed an alternative career path to become a telecoms engineer some 10 years ago. Steve is now a senior engineer and heads up many of our structured cabling cat5, and cat6 installations. Steve is a keen DJ and spends his weekends with his family.
Administration and accounts are handled by Lynsey, who splits her time between her company duties and caring for her 2 daughters. Lynsey's qualifications include a BAHons in Business Administration and time spent working with companies such as Harrogate College and Polo Public Relations. As a husband and wife team, Paul and Lynsey have given Claro Communications a friendly, family feel that sets it apart from its competitors.
