Our 20th Anniversary!

We are happy to announce this year marks our 20th anniversary, and what 20 years it has been!

We incorporated the company in 2001 as you know, but I had been in business providing telecoms engineering services across the UK and beyond for 15 years prior to then.

Our core background has always been the engineering/design side of telecoms – really understanding the technology available and how best to apply that technology to help customers. All our business came from word of mouth, we didn’t advertise and we didn’t have any salespeople at all – I think that has been key to our success, our approach is solution-driven rather than being focused on selling boxes. It’s something to this day I am still extremely proud of. The quality of our services is still to such a high standard that referrals 20 years later are our biggest source of business.

Along the way, we’ve developed a wide customer base. For example, I remember many years ago as a trainee installing the telephone system for Stray FM on Station Parade when they first launched. We’ve now got larger clients such as York Minster who we’ve been proud to serve for over a decade.

As the company has grown naturally we’ve brought in experienced talent whilst keeping the same solution-based ethos. Amanda joined us 8 years ago and brought with her a wealth of experience in managing telecoms teams and provides amazing customer service for our clients. Andy has been with us for 2 years having previously worked for telecoms manufacturer NEC. His background across small and large business solutions gives him the great experience to draw on in his role looking after new business and key accounts.

The market has changed a lot over the last 20 years, most notably with the move from old analogue technologies through to digital and then VoIP. We’ve helped and guided our clients to take advantage of the emerging solutions to leverage benefits both in operation and cost savings – and that continues today.

The last year has seen a seed change in how we all work – driving a need for reliable voice, video, and chat solutions that are not tied to a legacy office environment but allow staff to work anywhere and remain professional. We’ve been at the forefront of that change for our clients – ensuring that they are not left behind but instead prosper through new ways of working.

The fact that we are not tied or affiliated with any specific provider also means we can truly offer our existing and new clients the best solution to move their business forward in the new age of working.

We look forward to the changes and challenges that the next 20 years will bring – and we look forward to helping and guiding our clients through those challenges!
