Structured Cabling Installation

Have total confidence in your company’s voice and data communications with a modern, high-speed structured cabling installation from Claro Communications.

Your cabling infrastructure provides the means to communicate, transfer data and ultimately, in this digital world, survive. It is crucial, therefore, that your business data networks are installed and managed to ensure optimum performance and reliability.

Structured cabling is unique to each building and, when designed well, offers reliability, flexibility, and scalability of telecommunication systems. It can also help to reduce future expenses by minimising downtime and making it easier to implement changes to the network.

At Claro Communications we have a team of installation engineers that are qualified to the highest standard to bring advanced business data networks to businesses across Yorkshire and the UK. Our technical staff undergo continual training and assessment to ensure they can deliver the very best network cabling installation for your needs.

Our expert cabling installation team

We have been installing category 5 and category 6 cables for over 20 years. When one of America’s leading structured cabling manufacturers, Ortronics, first moved into the UK market in the late 1990’s, our engineers were some of the first to undertake the certification program, flying to Connecticut USA to attend the training course. Since then we have added Excel, Ultima, Pressac, and Fusion Data to our range of certifiable products.

We are able to provide certificated results for structured cabling installations using our Fluke DTX structured cabling tester.

We have experience in installations from 1 to 10,000 points, from small additional works right through to campus installations and new builds. Our cable teams are CSCS registered, carry IPAF cards for working at height, and we have method statements and risk assessment documentation where required.

Our engineers are trained and certified to install products from a number of manufacturers including but not limited to:

  • Pressac Zeta 6
  • Ortronics
  • Excel
  • Fusion
  • Vaxa
  • Krone

Network cabling products

We offer a broad range of cabling options, the most common being Cat 5e, Cat 6 and fibre-optic cabling.

Cat 5e cable

Category 5e cable (or Cat 5e) is a ‘twisted pair’ cable designed to deliver high signal integrity. This makes it an ideal and cost-effective solution for business data networks such as Gigabit Ethernet (1GB/s) and full digital voice services. A cabling infrastructure using Cat 5e offers flexibility, the possibility of future expansion and a ‘plug & play’ option that allows PCs, printers, telephones, fax machines etc. to be relocated with ease by the client.

Cat 6 cable

Category 6 cable (or Cat 6) features higher specifications than Cat 5e for reduced interference and system noise. It is ideal for the 10Gbase-T (10Gigabit Ethernet) standard.

Fibre-optic cable

There are two types of fibre-optic cable: single-mode and multi-mode. Single-mode cabling provides ultra-high-speed data transfer, ideal for large scale sites such as college campuses. Multi-mode cabling offers a high-speed solution more suited to single site/multiple building business data network infrastructures.

Free network assessment

Structured cabling installation requires careful planning to avoid future problems and futureproof your network. Choosing the right solution will ensure connectivity, speed and optimum performance, as well as an exceptional return on your investment.

You can discover how your existing system is performing with our free, no-obligation network health check. We will produce a report detailing your current network infrastructure, its strengths and weaknesses, and our recommendations for improvements.
